Who we are
This website is operated by Namirembe Guest House, Namirembe Road, Cathedral Hill, Kampala, Uganda. Contact: info@namirembegh.com, +256 393 109937.
What we collect
- Enquiries from the contact form: name, email, phone (optional), arrival date (optional), topic and message.
- Booking requests: guest details, dates, room choice and any notes you add.
- Food and room-service orders: name, phone, optional email, room or table number, the dishes you choose and any notes.
- Payments (only when online payment is switched on): the amount, reference and payment status. Card and mobile-money details are entered on PesaPal's page and are not seen or stored by us.
- Guest accounts (if you create one): name, email, phone and a hashed password.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
- Analytics (only if you accept cookies): pages viewed, device type and approximate location, via Google Analytics.
How we use it
To reply to enquiries, confirm and manage stays and events, send the newsletter you asked for, and understand which pages help visitors. We do not sell personal information.
Who processes it
- Website and database hosting: Hostinger.
- Email delivery of enquiry and booking messages: Microsoft 365.
- Online payments, when offered: PesaPal (Pesapal Limited), which processes card and mobile-money payments.
- Accounting and reservations records, when connected: our Odoo business system receives guest name, contact details and booking or order lines.
- Website analytics: Google Analytics, only after consent.
- Web fonts: Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when pages load.
- Maps: Google Maps shows embedded maps on the home, Explore and Contact pages, so Google receives your IP address when a map loads.
Cookies
The site works without optional cookies. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in your browser. Change or withdraw it any time with . Signed-in guests and staff also receive a session cookie that login needs.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry, booking and account records only as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and accounting duties. Ask us any time to delete your account or newsletter subscription.
Your rights
Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to its use. Email info@namirembegh.com.
